Aubrey and I grew up with horses, and love to ride. After listening
to older coonhunters talk about hunting off of mules, Aubrey decided that maybe it was time to give it a try, since he
isn't getting any younger, and the hills around here aren't getting any flatter. So that is how Laura, Jackson,
Rusty, Polly, Pepper, and Beulah came into our lives. We really like mules and don't find them "stubborn"
as most people believe, but rather, thoughtful. They are very athletic and sure-footed, which is essential in this kind of
terrain. Aubrey enjoys hunting off of the mules, and I believe he will have a coonhunting mule for as long as he has a coondog!
